Introduction

Welcome to my "36 Days of Type" project, where I explored the fascinating realm of animated typography mixed with analog glitches.

I was drawn to how typography embodies precision and structure, while glitches mixed with animation bring an unpredictable and chaotic element to the table. I couldn't resist the urge to blend these two intriguing elements together!

Join me as I take you on a journey through a collection of glitch-infused letters that push the boundaries of traditional design.
WEEK 1

First, I wanted to understand the capabilities of my pipeline.

In the first week, I decided to use transitions between letters through inversion. Because of this, when the channel Luma is removed, an effect is created either inside the letter or outside it.

Also in the animation, I wanted to reflect the heterogeneity of the nature of glitches, so a wiggle was applied to each point of the letter, due to which the letter is in constant motion.

As result it creates a huge foundation for research and exploration in working with space and visual masses.
WEEK 2

In the second week, I recognized that the inversion effect introduced excessive noise. To streamline the experience, I opted for a singular color palette. This decision allowed a deeper exploration of how animation and glitches interacted, shaping the overall visual impact.

The evolution continued with a shift in animation style, introducing non-uniformity. Varied rates of letter point changes during transformation injected heterogeneity, enhancing the mesmerizing effect reflected in the glitches.

Additionally, I enriched the glitches by introducing color variations or shifting the position inside the letters.
WEEK 3

I infused even more colors into the project during the third week. This injection of vibrancy added an extra layer of madness, amplifying the visual impact through the glitches.

Also, I introduced additional scale animations to the variegated morphing of letters giving yet another dimension to the narrative.
WEEK 4

The 4th week was a time when I could have fun to the fullest. Because it was my last. So I decided to change the design of letters by adding extra black&white stroke that fills the space by step.

It allowed to deep more into experimentation with a form that's in constant motion, creating new patterns and forms within itself. That's how a more trippy effect appeared.

Having changed the design this way, I felt that it required a more simplified animation, so I just made the transitions from letter to letter with different speeds.
At the end I wanna present a little freestyle to show you
some possibilities of the glitch tools
